Most people by now will be aware of coronavirus and the concern surrounding it. Coronavirus (and similar viruses) are distributed through coughing, sneezing, talking, and physical contact. What does this mean for your household? Should you be concerned about coronavirus on your carpets, hard floors and upholstery? We are all being advised to wash our hands more regularly and be more aware of cleanliness but it’s not as if you can cover your furniture and carpets and floors with soap, hand sanitizer or disinfectant. So how can you sanitize your home against any cold or flu virus?

The advice from the Government is if you are showing any symptoms of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is to self isolate at home. Viruses can survive in your carpets and soft furnishings for up to 9 days and can easily be made airborne by simply just walking on the surface.
